Job Summary
The Phlebotomist II plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by gathering and handling patient specimens following regulatory safety and procedural guidelines. This position also involves keeping precise records, overseeing inventory, and delivering outstanding customer service while effectively utilizing laboratory information systems.
Responsibilities
- Collect and process patient specimens in accordance with safety and clinical protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and manage laboratory inventory efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff.
- Navigate and utilize laboratory information systems competently.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience in phlebotomy, with expertise in pediatric and geriatric specimen collections.
- A high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data entry.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
