Job Summary
The Phlebotomist/Processor plays a crucial role in collecting blood and other specimens for laboratory analysis. This position encompasses not only technical skills in venipuncture but also essential administrative duties to ensure effective operation and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture to collect blood and other specimen types.
- Prepare and label samples accurately for laboratory testing.
- Manage various administrative tasks including data entry and answering phone inquiries.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Washington Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification (MA-P) is necessary.
- Preferred: A minimum of 6 months of hands-on experience in phlebotomy.
