Job Summary
The Staff Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for delivering physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a supervising therapist, while also ensuring proper maintenance of patient documentation. This role encompasses a variety of tasks aimed at facilitating patient care and supporting the clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments according to the guidelines provided by the supervising therapist.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for patient records.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
- Disinfect equipment regularly to uphold health and safety standards.
- Assist in the training and guidance of students in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
- Possession of a current state license to practice as a physical therapist assistant.
- Ability to physically stand, walk, lift, position, and transfer patients during the work shift.
