Job Summary
The position entails the responsibilities of a physician who is tasked with assessing and treating patients across various settings. This role includes managing both inpatient and outpatient consultations, as well as partaking in on-call duty rotations. A significant aspect of this role is contributing to academic research while upholding standards of high-quality and cost-efficient healthcare through effective documentation and coordination with insurance providers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients effectively.
- Manage consultations for inpatient and outpatient cases.
- Participate in on-call schedules as required.
- Engage in academic research projects.
- Ensure documentation is thorough and accurate for quality care.
- Coordinate with insurance for optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Current licensure from the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners is required.
- Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.
