Plant Operator
Tipp City, OH
$20/HR
Monday – Friday 7AM-3PM

As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for executing site-specific tasks and duties within the company’s manufacturing setting. This role involves working with various construction chemicals throughout the manufacturing and shipping processes, as well as operating multiple pieces of equipment in the production of our products. The Plant Operator will also carry out routine maintenance, operate forklifts, and perform quality control assessments.

Responsibilities of the Plant Operator include:

  • Assisting with the blending and mixing of chemical admixtures.
  • Unloading raw materials received through different delivery methods according to site instructions (such as bulk tanker, pallets, drums, and totes).
  • Loading finished products into bulk trucks and various types of packaging as per site guidelines.
  • Operating a forklift to fulfill various tasks.
  • Conducting prescribed tests and inspections on both raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment within the assigned area.
  • Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring that safety measures are properly followed.
  • Completing all required training related to environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) regulations, and adhering to all EH&S policies set by the company.
  • Performing additional duties as required and assigned by the company.

Qualifications for the Plant Operator:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment for at least one year is desired.
  • Forklift experience is advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Basic math skills.
  • The ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions accurately.
  • A collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications.
  • The capability to adapt to rapidly changing schedules.
