Job Summary
The Porter/Dishwasher plays a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness and efficiency within the kitchen and general dining areas. This position encompasses various tasks that support food service operations, including maintaining cleanliness standards and assisting kitchen staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, including washing floors and surfaces as required.
- Assist in the organization and stocking of kitchen supplies.
- Help with food preparation as directed by kitchen staff.
- Properly dispose of waste and recycle materials when applicable.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina to handle lifting and being on feet for extended periods.
