Job Summary
The role involves providing support to consulting engineers, contractors, and end users in the design and specification of Caterpillar standby power systems, focusing on both the mechanical and electrical components of reciprocating engine power plants. The position requires the application of Caterpillar sizing tools and the preparation of proposals and supporting documentation for customer engagements and sales efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and specification of Caterpillar standby power systems.
- Utilize Caterpillar sizing programs to develop proposals.
- Prepare detailed documentation to support customer projects.
- Work closely with various stakeholders, including contractors and end users.
- Conduct electrical sizing calculations and analyze electrical systems.
- Interpret and prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Travel to different sites as necessary to assist with projects.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in electrical power systems is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to perform calculations and understand technical documents.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites.
