Pricing and Legal Project Management Manager
Cincinnati, Cleveland, or St. Louis
$140,000-$160,000 Hunter Recruiting has an opening for a full-time Manager of Pricing and Legal Project Management in the Accounting Department to work in the Cincinnati, Cleveland or St. Louis office. This strategic role will oversee all rate setting, matter pricing, and legal project management at the Firm. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and strategic information is provided to Firm partners and leadership to make key business decisions on an ongoing basis. - Oversee the Firm’s annual rate setting process
- Develop and execute on a formal client rate management
- Work collaboratively with Firm partners on developing value based pricing for RFP responses
- Work collaboratively with the Firm’s Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer to develop go-to-market strategies
- Develop matter budgets and assist partners in managing the delivery of matters to those budgets
- Meet individually with partners to provide actionable guidance on improving client profitability
- Support the submission for Litigation Funding proposals
- Select and implement new technology to support the Firm’s pricing and LPM function
- Study and recommend improved processes for the pricing and LPM function.
- Assist the Director of Finance and CFO with special projects as needed.
Pricing and Legal Project Management Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CFA, CPA, or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience, preferably at a legal or services firm, including 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Experience developing complex pricing models
- Project management experience in delivering professional services
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort communicating complex topics to diverse audiences
- Ability to delegate, instruct, and evaluate staff, including goal setting, performance review requirements, and skill assessments.
- Excellent organizational, stress, and time management skills; demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate to management in a clear, concise manner to facilitate information sharing and decision-making.
- Excellent customer service skills in managing and responding to firm needs, soliciting feedback to improve service, and meeting commitments.
