Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during office-based procedures. This position involves various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and upholding a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and APPs with various office-based procedures.
- Handle instruments and maintain a sterile setting.
- Room patients efficiently and perform point-of-care (POC) testing.
- Document orders accurately within the computer system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is necessary.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is mandatory.
- Ability to undergo orientation and validation of competencies for specific departmental procedures.
