Job description
Position: Production Operator
Location: Rittman, OH
Compensation: $23-25/HR
Shift: 3-11pm
The Production Operator plays a key role in performing various tasks including the operation of different machinery and equipment across multiple shifts. These roles often require significant physical effort.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Operator:
- Manage bagging or packaging machinery to achieve production targets and uphold operational standards.
- Handle the filling, palletizing, and transportation of products to designated storage areas.
- Make minor adjustments and repairs to ensure smooth production processes.
- Adhere to production schedules and meticulously maintain operational logs.
- Help in ensuring that the production line is stocked with the appropriate salt grades.
Qualifications for the Production Operator:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Capability to operate powered industrial vehicles is required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Willingness to work any shift and availability for varied schedules is necessary.
- Comfort with consistent overtime and weekend work as needed.
- Physical capability to lift up to 65 lbs., maintain rapid work speeds, and perform tasks that involve standing and gripping.
- Regular bending, carrying, and pulling of weights up to 65 lbs., in addition to twisting, reaching, feeling, and finger dexterity.
- Able to hear and observe surroundings with great acuity, particularly with depth perception.
- Work environment characterized by noise levels of 80 dB or higher.
- Exposure to vibrations, dry conditions, dust, and mechanical risks.
- Mandatory use of protective gear including eye protection, hearing protection, head covering, and footwear.
