Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in guiding and enhancing production teams and processes to achieve safety, quality, production, and customer service targets. This role includes managing daily production operations, mentoring and cultivating team members, coordinating necessary resources, and fostering continuous improvement while ensuring a safe, effective, and collaborative work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and mentor production staff to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and service objectives.
• Organize, plan, and implement daily production and assembly schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate all aspects of production, including scheduling, staffing, planning, maintenance, purchasing, and material management.
• Facilitate team meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for employees.
• Track production performance and uphold established standards of productivity and quality.
• Analyze production data and communicate findings to the team.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and overall production output.
• Identify opportunities to minimize scrap, waste, downtime, and other inefficiencies in the production process.
• Educate and support team members in utilizing quality tools and methodologies.
• Ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary tools, materials, training, and resources to achieve production goals.
• Monitor the work environment for unsafe conditions or practices and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain a safe workspace and promote the well-being of all employees.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and other departments as necessary.
• Manage multiple production priorities and adjust plans to accommodate changing business requirements.
• Complete First Aid training and maintain required certifications.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline along with 3+ years of supervisory experience in a team-oriented setting; OR 5+ years of supervisory experience in a process-driven, customer-focused, quality-oriented manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in production scheduling, staffing, workflow management, and performance assessment.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and production processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and expertise in minimizing scrap and production inefficiencies is preferred.
• Ability to track and analyze performance metrics and production data effectively.
• Strong coordination skills with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and other relevant departments.
