Job description
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is essential for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the production floor, ensuring all processes are efficient and compliant with quality standards. This role requires a leader capable of managing a team to achieve production goals while fostering a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize production performance, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and promote a collaborative environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to develop production schedules and resolve any operational obstacles.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and employee performance for reporting purposes.
- Address and resolve any team member concerns or conflicts promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes and machinery; familiarity with safety regulations is essential.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on improving operational efficiency.
