Production Supervisor

Overview:
The Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in guiding and enhancing production teams and workflows to achieve safety, quality, output, and customer satisfaction targets. This position entails overseeing day-to-day production operations, mentoring employees, managing resources, and fostering continuous improvement within a secure, efficient, and team-driven workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop production staff to accomplish safety, quality, productivity, and customer service objectives.
- Strategically organize and implement daily production and assembly plans to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate various production functions, such as scheduling, staffing, maintenance, procurement, and material requirements.
- Facilitate team meetings and provide continuous training and development opportunities for employees.
- Evaluate production metrics to maintain compliance with established productivity and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor and analyze production data, sharing outcomes with the team for transparency and improvement.
- Champion continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and overall production results.
- Identify opportunities to minimize scrap, waste, downtime, and other inefficiencies in the production process.
- Support and educate team members on the utilization of quality tools and best practices.
- Ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary tools, materials, training, and resources to achieve production targets.
- Regularly inspect work areas for unsafe conditions or behaviors and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Maintain a safe workplace environment and advocate for employee health and safety.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and other departments as required.
- Manage multiple production priorities and flexibly adjust plans according to dynamic business demands.
- Complete First Aid training and uphold certification requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a collaborative environment; or at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a process-oriented, customer-centric, quality-driven manufacturing or production setting.
- Proficient in production scheduling, staffing, workflow management, and performance oversight.
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality standards, and production processes in manufacturing.
- Preferred experience in continuous improvement methodologies and in reducing waste and production inefficiencies.
- Capability in tracking and interpreting production metrics and performance data.
- Adept at effectively coordinating with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and other departments.
