Job Summary
The Project Engineer for Municipal Water and Wastewater plays a crucial role in planning, designing, and overseeing engineering projects related to water and wastewater systems. This position involves working on a variety of projects to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the successful implementation of engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of municipal water and wastewater projects from planning to completion.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to identify project requirements and objectives.
- Create detailed engineering designs, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to analyze project viability.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular updates for clients and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or working towards it.
- Experience in municipal water and wastewater engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
