Job Summary
This role involves conducting and enhancing radiographic examinations in various healthcare environments. The successful candidate will operate imaging equipment, implement radiation safety measures, and provide support to physicians by adhering to departmental protocols and necessary precautions.
Responsibilities
- Perform and enhance radiographic exams in different care settings.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment competently.
- Apply radiation protection practices effectively.
- Assist physicians in accordance with established department protocols.
- Engage in patient communication, obtaining clinical history and informed consent.
- Support radiography students during their training.
- Address clinical or emergency situations that may arise during examinations.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited radiography program.
- Hold Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Must obtain ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist within 12 months of hire.
- Possess at least one year of combined classroom and clinical radiology training.
- Have recent experience in a hospital or healthcare setting as a technologist or student.
