Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for executing standard x-ray procedures while assisting in clinical operations under the guidance of a treating physician. This role includes crucial medical support activities such as preparing patients for examinations, conducting drug tests, and ensuring that medical equipment is well maintained.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine x-ray examinations to assist in patient diagnostic procedures.
- Support clinical operations in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Prepare patients for various x-ray procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Administer drug testing as required during medical evaluations.
- Maintain and verify the functionality of radiologic equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required.
- Must hold an active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- At least six months of experience as a medical assistant is necessary.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid is mandatory.
