Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist plays a critical role in the healthcare environment by utilizing imaging technology to assist in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. This position requires a high degree of technical skill and attention to detail in operating radiologic equipment, ensuring safety, and adhering to diagnostic protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and position patients safely for radiographic procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of images taken in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain equipment and work areas to uphold cleanliness and functionality.
- Assist in managing patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiographic techniques and safety practices.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
