Patient Access Representative
Pay: $25–$27/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential for Extension)
Location: Arlington, VA (Onsite)

About the Opportunity

The Patient Access Representative supporting patient care by accurately scheduling imaging procedures, verifying patient information, and working closely with physician offices, patients, and clinical staff.

Patient Access Representative Responsibilities

• Process and enter 150–200 physician imaging orders daily into the scheduling system.
• Schedule outpatient imaging procedures including:
  • CT
  • MRI
  • Ultrasound
  • X-Ray
  • Mammography
  • Other diagnostic imaging services
• Review physician orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Register patients and verify demographic information.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary patient information before scheduling.
• Coordinate appointments with physician offices, patients, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Ensure appointments are scheduled correctly to support timely patient care and insurance authorization requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service while managing a high-volume workload.

Patient Access Representative Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Radiology scheduling experience.
• Experience scheduling outpatient imaging procedures.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Epic EMR.
• Patient registration experience.
• Insurance verification experience.
