Job Summary
The Real Estate Paralegal plays a pivotal role in supporting legal professionals in various real estate transactions and matters. This position focuses on assisting in the preparation, review, and management of documents as well as ensuring compliance with legal regulations within the real estate field. It involves working closely with attorneys to facilitate effective case management and contribute to successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the drafting and reviewing of real estate contracts, agreements, and closing documents.
- Conduct thorough research on property titles, zoning laws, and regulations relevant to real estate transactions.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Coordinate with clients, real estate agents, and financial institutions throughout the transaction process.
- Attend closings and other meetings to take notes and ensure all procedural details are addressed.
- Maintain a calendar of deadlines associated with transactions, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
- A degree in paralegal studies or a related field, or equivalent experience in real estate law.
- Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with real estate transactions and relevant laws and regulations.
