Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, as well as in managing and preserving HR records and documentation. This position also includes supporting aspects of payroll and reporting, alongside assisting with employee relations, training initiatives, performance development, and safety programs. Additionally, the Specialist provides administrative assistance to HR management and aids in the coordination of various HR projects, orientations, and employee gatherings.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and onboard new staff members.
- Maintain and manage human resources records and documentation.
- Support payroll processes and reporting requirements.
- Assist in employee relations and engagement efforts.
- Contribute to training and development programs.
- Facilitate performance development initiatives.
- Help implement safety programs within the organization.
- Provide administrative support to the HR management team.
- Coordinate HR-related projects, orientations, and employee events.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of experience in human resources, including a minimum of two years focused on recruiting.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR information systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong abilities in project management and maintaining confidentiality.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is advantageous.
