Job Summary
The Referral Associate plays a crucial role in facilitating and managing patient referrals, ensuring that all insurance details are accurate and necessary authorizations are secured. This position also involves coordinating appointment schedules while ensuring that all documentation is correctly maintained within the electronic health record system.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete patient referrals efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information to ensure accuracy.
- Obtain required authorizations for referrals.
- Manage and schedule patient appointments effectively.
- Maintain accurate records within the electronic health record system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or technical degree is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) is preferred.
