Job Summary
The Registered Nurse plays a critical role in collaborating with medical professionals to create and execute comprehensive care strategies for patients. In addition to direct patient bedside nursing, the RN is responsible for supervising support staff, coordinating patient meetings, and managing discharge processes to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to formulate and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care at the bedside to patients.
- Supervise and oversee the work of ancillary staff members.
- Facilitate patient conferences to discuss care and progress.
- Ensure effective discharge planning for patients to facilitate their return home or to other care settings.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current nursing license in the state of Michigan is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Preferred: At least six months of experience in an acute care setting.
