Job Summary
The role of the Registrar entails welcoming patients and their families, capturing essential demographic and financial details, and overseeing the registration and check-in procedures. This position is pivotal in ensuring a smooth initial interaction for patients within the healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and their families upon arrival.
- Collect and manage necessary demographic and financial information.
- Oversee the registration and check-in process.
- Verify patient insurance and collect payments.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and EMTALA.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in customer service, with a preference for those with a background in healthcare.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills in English.
