Job Summary
The Release of Information Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Health Information Management (HIM) operations. This position is responsible for overseeing workflow management, ensuring adherence to regulations, and carrying out quality assurance assessments. Additionally, the Coordinator engages in business analysis, formulates performance metrics, and offers technical support to team members in navigating complex disclosure issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage HIM workflow efficiently to meet organizational standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of information release processes.
- Engage in business analysis to evaluate operational efficiency.
- Develop and analyze performance metrics to enhance workflow effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff on complex disclosure cases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant analytical experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong understanding and proficiency in HIPAA regulations.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools for evaluating performance.
