Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for executing thorough respiratory evaluations, administering therapeutic treatments, and providing essential patient education. This role requires effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care, all while adhering to Ohio’s respiratory care regulations and institutional standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct respiratory assessments to evaluate patient needs.
- Administer various therapeutic treatments as prescribed.
- Provide education to patients regarding respiratory health and treatment plans.
- Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with Ohio respiratory care laws and institutional policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Care.
- Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License.
- NBRC registration and BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required, with NRP and PALS certifications to be obtained within six months of employment.
