Job Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for delivering essential respiratory care services in both general ward and critical care settings. This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including the management of ventilators and the analysis of arterial blood gases. Additionally, the practitioner plays a vital role in supporting operations within the emergency department and assisting with specialized procedures such as bronchoscopy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general ward and critical care respiratory procedures.
- Manage ventilator equipment for patients.
- Perform arterial blood gas analyses.
- Assist in emergency department functions.
- Support procedures like bronchoscopy.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and RRT.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a respiratory therapist.
