Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist will provide crucial respiratory care and support to patients requiring assistance with their breathing. This temporary position spans a duration of 9 weeks, allowing for the delivery of specialized care in various clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and procedures.
- Evaluate respiratory status and responses to therapy, making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor patients undergoing respiratory care and document relevant medical data.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health and self-management techniques.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is preferred.
- Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks.
