Job Summary
This position primarily involves managing referrals and prior authorizations, ensuring optimal charge capture, and aiding patient registration and scheduling along with coding assessments. The role requires timely responses to patient queries regarding referral matters and necessitates consistent follow-up with patients and relevant parties until resolutions are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Process referrals and manage prior authorization requests.
- Monitor charge capture to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with patient registration and scheduling tasks.
- Conduct coding reviews to maintain compliance.
- Address patient inquiries related to referrals.
- Follow up with patients and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, healthcare, or equivalent experience is required.
- Proficient in office computer skills and keyboarding.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to navigate relevant electronic systems effectively.
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding as well as insurance or managed care is preferred.
