Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is pivotal in providing comprehensive patient care in a psychiatric healthcare environment. This role involves performing patient intake evaluations, formulating individualized nursing care plans, and administering medications effectively. The nurse will also play a supervisory role over Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Psychiatric Aides, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for all patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake assessments to gather essential health information.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications in accordance with treatment plans and protocols.
- Oversee and provide guidance to LPNs and Psych Aides on patient care practices.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, promoting their wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of one year of recent nursing experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
