Job Summary
The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in delivering patient care and providing essential clinical leadership in the Emergency Department. This position is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring effective patient flow, offering support to nursing personnel, and maintaining adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care while overseeing patient management within the Emergency Department.
- Coordinate and enhance patient flow to improve operational efficiency.
- Support and guide nursing staff in their daily activities and clinical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards for patient safety and quality of care.
Qualifications
- Must possess a postsecondary nursing degree and a current RN license.
- Hold BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience specifically in emergency services is required.
