Job Summary
The RN Days-Med Surg position involves providing nursing care in a medical-surgical environment during daytime hours. The primary focus is to deliver high-quality care to patients recovering from surgery or managing medical conditions. The registered nurse will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and health management.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members for coordinated patient care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing care plans.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Experience in a medical-surgical setting is advantageous.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be preferred or required.
