Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plays a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in critical and life-threatening situations. This position requires the ability to assess, prioritize, and respond effectively to urgent health needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate care to patients experiencing emergencies.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine the severity of patient conditions.
- Implement and monitor treatment plans as per established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of patient care activities and interventions.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience in emergency nursing or critical care nursing is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining composure.
