Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients experiencing acute medical issues. The RN collaborates with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ conditions, responding to changes in status.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and interpretation of results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous experience in an emergency room or critical care setting is preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
