Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room provides critical care and support to patients experiencing medical emergencies. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care tailored to the patient’s acute needs, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients requiring emergency care.
- Provide immediate nursing interventions for patients in critical condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and execute care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on illness management and prevention.
- Participate in emergency response drills and trainings to maintain readiness.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in emergency or critical care nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in rapid-paced situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Preferred certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN).
