Job Summary
The RN – EP Laboratory role is essential for providing high-quality nursing care within the electrophysiology department. This position requires specialized knowledge and skills to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiac electrophysiology.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing electrophysiological interventions.
- Assist medical staff during electrophysiology studies and arrhythmia treatments.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition promptly.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures, potential risks, and aftercare.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment within the laboratory setting.
- Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current registered nursing license valid in the state of practice.
- Experience in a cardiac or electrophysiology unit is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients and staff.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
