Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Outpatient Surgery will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position entails pre-operative and post-operative responsibilities, focusing on ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ health status before and after surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Educate patients and families about pre-op and post-op care protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in an outpatient or surgical nursing environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
