Safety Coordinator
$37.80/HR
Brentwood, NH The Safety Coordinator supports plant safety and environmental initiatives by promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement. This role provides safety training, maintains key safety programs, and partners with operations teams to reduce risk and enhance workplace performance. Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead new hire and ongoing safety training programs.
- Maintain Lock Tag Try (LTT), job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety documentation.
- Identify, report, and escalate equipment malfunctions, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Autonomous Maintenance (AM), and Focused Improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and promote proper waste management and environmental compliance practices.
- Participate in safety committees, inspections, and incident investigations to drive corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure timely safety compliance and issue resolution.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to changing operational priorities while maintaining high safety standards.
Safety Coordinator Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; vocational or safety-related education preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or industrial safety experience (preferred).
- Solid understanding of OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, and safety auditing practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proven ability to train employees and lead safety engagement activities.
