Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies. This position involves regular inspections and assessments to enforce compliance with safety regulations, aimed at fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage safety training programs for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Collaborate with management to establish safety protocols and best practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain safety records and documentation as required.
- Promote safety awareness through regular communication and training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Proven experience in safety management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) designation is preferred.
