Job Summary
The SCADA Support Specialist acts as the primary authority on control systems used in wastewater treatment facilities, responsible for maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting both hardware and software components. This role involves collaboration with various teams and vendors to guarantee the reliability and security of the telemetry and control infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and configuration of SCADA systems and other related control mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware and software components.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability.
- Engage with vendors to maintain secure and operational telemetry systems.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a pertinent field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant software experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Must currently hold a permanent or probationary position as a Computer Specialist within the NYC Department of Environmental Protection.
