Job Summary
The Senior Engineer will take charge of overseeing bridge load ratings, conducting structural assessments, and providing guidance to junior engineering staff. This role encompasses the management of project outputs, the formulation of technical strategies, and the execution of field operations aimed at enhancing bridge preservation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise bridge load rating assessments.
- Conduct structural evaluations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Provide technical mentorship and leadership to less experienced engineers.
- Manage project deliverables and timelines efficiently.
- Develop technical approaches to bridge preservation projects.
- Conduct necessary fieldwork related to bridge assessments and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in bridge load rating.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas and Louisiana, or the willingness to obtain one within six months of employment.
