Job Summary
The Senior Laboratory Assistant plays a critical role in the healthcare setting by managing the collection and processing of blood and microbiology samples from diverse patient groups. This position also involves supporting referral testing and ensuring that all necessary laboratory competencies are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Collect and process blood and microbiology specimens from various patient populations.
- Assist with referral testing as needed.
- Maintain all laboratory competencies in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or II License is required upon hire.
- A minimum of one year of laboratory phlebotomy experience is preferred.
