Senior Project Manager
Goodyear, AZ
$150,000 to $170,000 (Plus 10% Bonus)

The Senior Project Manager oversees the strategic direction, execution, and financial performance of multiple small to medium-scale projects or a single large-scale project. This role involves leading a team of project managers and assistant project managers to ensure outstanding outcomes for our clients. The Senior Project Manager is also tasked with proactively identifying and nurturing new business opportunities and relationships, both with existing and prospective clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks that align with corporate standards. Clearly articulate these into actionable work statements for field teams.
  • Supervise daily operations either directly or by overseeing multiple Project Managers.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Project Managers on the company’s values and operational systems.
  • Negotiate and oversee the creation of all change orders associated with the project.
  • Maintain all necessary logs to monitor project progress.
  • Guide and supervise a Project Assistant in tracking project requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the primary client and A/E to support construction processes.
  • Collaborate with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure that construction activities adhere to the scheduled timeline and budget.
  • Assess any serious issues that arise during the project and implement corrective actions according to company policy and under direction.
  • Represent the company and project interests in client and subcontractor meetings.
  • Generate monthly financial reports on project costs.
  • Manage financial components of contracts (including billing, equipment rentals, and income/expenses) to safeguard the company’s interests while fostering positive client relations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A PE license is an asset.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, particularly in electrical construction, is required. Familiarity with construction technologies, scheduling, equipment, and methodologies is essential.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and managing team members.
  • Prior experience in business development and engaging clients is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); experience with Oracle and Accubid is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, management, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Travel may be required up to 25%.
