Job Summary
The Senior Research Scientist is tasked with spearheading independent scientific research initiatives from their conception through to presentation, while also overseeing laboratory policies. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating the development of projects and providing mentorship to junior laboratory staff and undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage independent research projects from start to finish.
- Oversee the laboratory’s policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the development and execution of research projects.
- Mentor and guide junior lab members and undergraduates in their work.
- Prepare intricate research documentation, including manuscripts, grant submissions, and proposals.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow research specialists and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in conducting high-level research projects.
- Strong capability in preparing detailed and complex scientific documentation.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding less experienced researchers.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of specialists.
