Senior Retirement Specialist
San Antonio, TX (Remote)

As a Senior Retirement Specialist, you will be responsible for driving sales, educating, and providing exceptional service to participants of 457 retirement plans. Your role involves fostering, managing, and maintaining relationships with participants, while also conducting regular retirement education and planning sessions. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying prospects and securing new small cases.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Retirement Specialist:

  • Organize and facilitate individual meetings and group seminars for both prospective and current participants in a designated region.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director on territory planning, strategizing execution, and developing team-building initiatives.
  • Act as a financial advisor to participants by offering insights and guidance on the advantages and features of defined contribution retirement savings plans to promote sales growth.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with crucial entity contacts, particularly at the management level to broaden the range of products and services provided within the plan.
  • Support the Program Director with training on new materials, product details, and updates on policies or procedural changes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Retirement Specialists, serving as the primary contact for inquiries and resolution of issues.
  • Manage special projects related to marketing, customer service, enrollment, and the administrative functions of the deferred compensation program.
  • Collaborate with dedicated or regional home office teams to address customer concerns or implement improvements in processes for field operations.

Qualifications for the Senior Retirement Specialist:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as insurance, business, or marketing is preferred.
  • Possession of a FINRA Series 6 or 7 license, along with a combination of series 63, 65, or 66, as well as life and health licenses; both series 63 and 65 may be necessary.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in financial, sales, or educational services.
  • Proven expertise in the public sector and a solid understanding of 457 plans and other financial products/services.
  • Adept at navigating both political and economic environments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Thorough knowledge of annuity and investment products, with the capability to effectively communicate product benefits.
  • In-depth understanding of Retirement Plans necessary for fully supporting the Program Director in both administrative and sales functions.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills are essential. Proven ability to effectively manage a portfolio of clients.
