Job Summary
Hunter Recruiting is in search of Senior Software Developers specializing in Semantic Systems to join our team in Avon, OH. This position plays a pivotal role in the creation, development, and upkeep of semantic classification and linguistically-structured software systems. The ideal candidate will implement full-stack application development alongside applied linguistic analysis to convert unstructured job descriptions and resumes into organized data models that enhance candidate-job matching, ranking, and retrieval processes.
Responsibilities
- Work on Semantic Architecture & Linguistic System Design, focusing on creating and sustaining hierarchical taxonomies and structured classification systems for various job-related attributes.
- Utilize linguistic theories to convert unstructured text from resumes and job descriptions into standardized structured data.
- Design controlled vocabularies and disambiguation rules to manage variations in phrasing and specific terminologies.
- Engage in Application Development & Platform Engineering by creating and maintaining bespoke WordPress application features and plugins using technologies like PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Support backend logic development, REST API endpoints, and structured data workflows for recruiting functionalities.
- Integrate AI-enabled services to enhance resume parsing and candidate ranking while maintaining data retrieval systems.
- Participate in Data Engineering & System Integrity activities to ensure the reliability of semantic workflows and database performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Linguistics or a related discipline, such as Computational Linguistics or Applied Linguistics.
- The degree should include a minimum of twelve semester credit hours focused on subjects such as semantics, syntax, morphology, or linguistic analysis.
