Job Summary
The Shipping Associate plays a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within the organization. This involves overseeing the packing and shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and distribution centers. The associate will work collaboratively with the warehouse team to uphold operational efficiency and maintain product integrity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package products for shipment to ensure safety during transit.
- Manage shipping schedules and coordinate with carriers for timely dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments and inventory levels.
- Utilize shipping software to track packages and update delivery statuses.
- Assist with inventory assessments and ensure proper organization within the shipping area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certifications in logistics is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient with computers and shipping software; familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
- Good physical stamina and capability to lift heavy packages.
