Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in the logistics team, primarily focused on preparing and securing products for shipment. This position encompasses operating pallet wrapping equipment, ensuring that items are packaged correctly to withstand transportation. The individual will be responsible for maintaining organization within shipping operations, adhering to safety standards, and optimizing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate stretch wrap machinery to efficiently wrap pallets for shipment.
- Ensure that all products are properly secured and labeled according to shipping protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an orderly and safe working environment.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Assist in inventory management and keeping accurate records of shipped items.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with pallet wrapping equipment and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
