Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for executing a range of technical ultrasound examinations and providing support to physicians during invasive procedures, all while guaranteeing high-quality imaging documentation. This role plays a crucial part in a collaborative imaging team and is essential for maintaining precise patient records along with compliance with universal safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct various ultrasound procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Assist physicians during invasive procedures where necessary.
- Ensure the production of high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient information and imaging results.
- Adhere to established safety protocol and standards in all imaging tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in the imaging department.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program recognized by CAAHEP.
- Possession of RDMS registration or eligibility for the registry.
- Current BLS/CPR certification or the ability to obtain it shortly after hiring.
- Compliance with New York State mandated reporter requirements.
