Job Summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer position in Herndon, Virginia, is an onsite role designed for an experienced technology professional. The candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, focusing on enhancing deployment processes and system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD build and deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Integrate various systems to ensure seamless operations in production environments.
- Utilize container environments such as OpenShift to manage application lifecycle effectively.
- Collaborate with development teams to foster a DevOps culture.
- Monitor and maintain system performance and reliability across deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 8 years of pertinent experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years’ experience.
- In-depth experience working with OpenShift or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
