Job Summary
The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership for geotechnical projects. This position involves the assessment of soil and rock conditions, along with the evaluation of site-specific geotechnical characteristics to guide project design and construction strategies. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing innovative solutions in adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations and assessments.
- Analyze data to determine the properties and behavior of earth materials.
- Provide recommendations for foundations, earth retention systems, and pavement design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting findings and recommendations.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and analytical tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
