Job Summary
The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. This position involves creating automated testing frameworks, writing effective test scripts, and working closely with development teams to enhance product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks to support development efforts.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements.
- Collaborate with software developers to identify testing requirements and assist in improving process and product quality.
- Analyze and troubleshoot software defects, providing prompt feedback to the development team.
- Conduct performance and stress tests to ensure application scalability and performance.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall improvement of testing practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Extensive experience in software testing with a focus on automated testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a mentoring or leadership role is a plus.
