Job Summary
The Senior Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room, primarily during night shifts at the Parnassus location in San Francisco, California. This position is essential for ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures. The incumbent coordinates closely with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to meet patient care objectives while maintaining adherence to established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient care by assessing and addressing their needs.
- Maintain a sterile field to ensure safety and prevent infection during surgical procedures.
- Adhere to operational protocols regarding surgical attire and equipment handling.
- Oversee the activities of Surgical Technicians and provide guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to successfully execute surgical interventions.
- Ensure compliance with UCSF Medical Center identification protocols and institutional policies.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred or required.
